KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Utilities Department announces that traffic will be shifted to a head-to-head configuration in the eastbound lanes of 39th Street, from Avenue A to Pony Express Road, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 3.
This temporary traffic pattern is necessary to allow for water service repairs in the area. The roadway is expected to be fully reopened by 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, weather and construction permitting.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed, use extreme caution, and please watch for workers in the area. Whenever possible, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes to avoid delays.
