MINDEN — Harold Warp Pioneer Village invites families, friends, and holiday travelers to experience the magic of Christmas on the Prairie, a festive weekend celebration held Saturday, Dec. 6., and Sunday, Dec. 7.
With hands-on crafts, live music, historic demonstrations, and activities for all ages, the event brings old-fashioned Christmas cheer to one of Nebraska’s most iconic museum grounds.
A Weekend of Holiday Fun for All Ages
Saturday, Dec. 6 | 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday is all about family activities and festive discovery. Guests can wander the historic grounds to watch artisans demonstrating traditional crafts, including string art, pine-cone bird feeders, and other hands-on holiday creations.
Families can also enjoy:
• Holiday crafts throughout the grounds
• Christmas caroling on the green
• Vintage 1930s-style Pictures with Santa in Building 13 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
• Carousel rides available all day
• Food specials served by Special Scoops at the Diner
Sunday, Dec. 7 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Sunday brings a blend of music, reflection, and community spirit.
Highlights include:
• Church Music Service from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• A live performance by Music Man Nate, filling the grounds with festive tunes
• Carousel rides continuing throughout the day
• Special Scoops food service in the Diner
