HOLDREGE — Additional charges have been filed against a former ESU 11 teacher and her partner after they had been arrested on charges of sexual grooming and sex trafficking, respectively.

Elizabeth Jamie Love, 36, has been charged with first degree sexual assault of a child, a Class 1B felony, two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, a Class 2 felony, commit intentional child abuse, a Class 2 felony and tamper with a witness, a Class 2 felony.

Jarid Krause 42, has been charged with first degree sexual assault of a child, a Class 1B felony, two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, a Class 2 felony and tamper with a witness, a Class 2 felony.

Both had previously been charges in Phelps County Court with sex trafficking of a minor, Love is also facing an additional count of sexual grooming by a school employee.

The investigation into Love and Krause began after a current high school student, whom Love was instructing through her employment as a transition coordinator and teacher in ESU-11, reported inappropriate interactions with the couple over the past few weeks, according to the Phelps County Attorney’s Office.

In the new charges, it is alleged that Love and Krause subjected a minor to sexual penetration between Nov. 23, 2024, and Oct. 25, 2025.

The arrest of Love and Krause culminated in an investigation commenced by the Holdrege Police Department, who received assistance from the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department, Kearney Police Department, Minden Police Department, the Nebraska State Patrol, and the Nebraska Department of Justice.

Love and Krause had filed bail, but new arrest warrants were issued on Dec. 23.
