KEARNEY — The Buffalo County Historical Society and Trails & Rails Museum will be hosting a Fabulous Friday event on , Jan. 9, 2026 at 2 p.m., featuring Nate Lowe and “History of the Rob Morris Lodge #46”.
Mr. Lowe’s presentation explores the history of Rob Morris Lodge from its founding in 1874 to the present day. Established by a group of settlers and Civil War veterans in Gibbon, the lodge relocated to Kearney alongside the move of the Buffalo County seat.
The talk highlights influential local Masons, the various buildings that have housed the lodge over the years, and the many community events in which the lodge played a role. Together, these stories offer a unique lens through which to view the broader history of Buffalo County.
A Q&A session will follow.
Please join us at the Trails & Rails Museum at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9 at 710 W. 11th St., Kearney, for this free event.
