KEARNEY — The Kearney Police Department is pleased to announce the assignment transfer of Officer Ethan Epley from the Uniformed Patrol Bureau to School Resource Officer.
Officer Epley joins our three existing SROs, bringing the total to four officers dedicated to protecting and supporting our schools. We appreciate the continued partnership with Kearney Public Schools and their shared commitment to the safety of students, staff, and our community.
Officer Epley has served with KPD for the past seven years. Prior to joining our department, he served as a deputy with the Seward County Sheriff’s Office.
During his time at KPD, Officer Epley has served as a Field Training Officer and is a member of the Emergency Services Unit (SWAT). Officer Epley also serves as a training instructor in firearms and emergency vehicle operation.
