Governor Jim Pillen, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
LINCOLN — Lt. Governor Joe Kelly, as the presiding officer of the Nebraska Legislature, received and accepted the resignation of Sen. Dan McKeon this morning. McKeon’s seat in District 41 became vacant upon adjournment of today’s legislative session.
Tomorrow afternoon, Governor Jim Pillen will introduce his appointee to that position, who will serve out the remainder of the term in District 41. Speaker of the Legislature John Arch, Secretary of State Bob Evnen and other leadership with be in attendance.
