AXTELL — On Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026 at approximately 3:45 a.m. the Kearney County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the First State Bank ATM located near 1st Avenue and Highway 6 in Axtell.
Upon arrival it was found that a pick-up truck had pulled the ATM off of its base. The pick-up was abandoned, and the subjects were nowhere to be found.
This case is currently under investigation by the Kearney County Sheriff’s Office.
