OMAHA – Usher Media Group, a Nebraska-based, locally owned radiobroadcast company led by longtime broadcaster Alan Usher, has announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire NRG Media of Omaha, significantly expanding its presence in the Omaha market while reinforcing its commitment to local ownership, community leadership, and support for Nebraska businesses.
The acquisition includes these Omaha radio stations: Sweet 98.5, KQKQ-FM; 1620 The Zone KOZN-AM; Yacht Rock 1180 KZOT-AM; Power 106.9 KOPW-FM; and NewsTalk 1290 KOIL-AM.
The move represents a strategic investment rooted in Nebraska values and a belief that local radio is strongest when owned and led by people who live and work in the communities they serve.
