HASTINGS — The Central Nebraska Soil Health Conference will be held at the Lochland Country Club in Hastings on Feb. 18.

The Nebraska Extension is hosting the event from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Lochland Country Club, 601 W. Lochland Road, Hastings. Registration is at 8 a.m. and the conference begins at 9 p.m.

Those in attendance will hear about farmer experiences with regenerative practices, grazing cover crops and reducing input costs with healthier soils.

Register to attend by Feb. 11 at https://go.unl.edu/2026soilhealthcon.

“The Nebraska Soil Health Conferences bring together farmers, researchers and industry professionals to share insights on regenerative practices that support both farm profitability and long-term soil resilience. Program topics across the two locations include farmer experiences with regenerative practices, soybean management using regenerative approaches, reducing input costs with healthier soils, extending crop rotations, and grazing cover crops,” per the Nebraska Extension.

“These conferences are designed to provide practical, Nebraska-relevant information that producers can evaluate and apply on their own operations,” said Katja Koehler-Cole, statewide soil health extension educator with Nebraska Extension. “Hearing directly from farmers alongside researchers and industry helps connect the science with real-world decision-making.”
