Two Rivers Public Health Department, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)

KEARNEY – Two Rivers is excited to host seven well water presentations across the district in March.

These events are tailored to 5th and 6th grade students who want to learn about the water cycle across Nebraska through a fun and interactive experience.

Through these exercises, students will learn how water and nitrogen move through Nebraska and the impacts of water quality on our health. A closed event at Franklin Elementary for their science students will kick off the series of events on Monday, March 9.

The other events will be open to the public and are listed below.

The events will take place on the following dates and at times:
• Holdrege Area Public Library at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11
• Elwood Public Library at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 12
• Jensen Memorial Library- Minden at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 12
• Hoesch Memorial Public Library- Alma at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 13
• Lexington Public Library at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 13
• Kearney Children’s Museum a 10 a.m. Thursday, March 26

If you or your child would like to attend, we ask is that you show up and bring a ½ cup sample of your water for onsite testing.
