Semi-truck traffic on Highway 30, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
KEARNEY — Weather permitting, work will begin March 23 on U.S. Highway 30 (US-30), from reference post 274+92 to reference post 276+83 in Buffalo County, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Ensley Electrical Services, of Grand Island, is the contractor for this project. Work includes roadway lighting system improvements from reference post 274+92 to reference post 276+83. Traffic will be maintained on US-30 with temporary traffic control devices. Anticipated completion is July 2026.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
