KEARNEY — The Kearney Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at the Countryside Trailer Court during the morning hours of Friday, March 27.
At 9:30 a.m., the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Countryside Trailer Court, along 15th Ave. for the report of a structure fire with the fire and smoke coming out from under the porch.
On scene, gray and white smoke was emanating from a trailer, firefighters were focusing their fire hoses under the porch, what appeared to be the source. The firefighters also conducted a primary search of the trailer.
Northwestern Energy responded to the scene and shut off the flow of gas to the trailer. The Kearney Police Department provided traffic control on scene.
The fire was determined to be under control at 9:45 a.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
