A two vehicle accident took place at the intersection of 24th St. and 30th Ave. in Kearney on Tuesday, March 31, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
KEARNEY — A two vehicle accident caused traffic impacts on the west side of Kearney during the morning hours of Tuesday, March 31.
At 7:13 a.m., the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department, Good Samaritan EMS and Kearney Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of 24th St. and 30th Ave. for the report of a two-vehicle accident with injuries.
On scene, a flatbed pickup pulling a tralier appeared to have been attempting to pull onto 24th St. It had come to rest next to Honda Civic with heavy front-end damage that was on 24th facing west.
The accident was blocking lanes on 24th St. and officers with the Kearney Police Department were directing morning traffic around the scene. KVFD firefighters were helping to clean up the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
