Nebraska State Patrol Troopers and TRIDENT Drug Task Force arrested a Hastings man after locating more than 1 pound of meth in their vehicle following a traffic stop.
On Friday afternoon at 12:45pm near Highway 281 and 33rd street in Hastings, a trooper initiated a traffic stop. A NSP K-9 detected a controlled substance odor from the stopped vehicle, which prompted a search. The search reveled 17 ounces of methamphetamine.
Troopers arrested driver, Robert Williams, 52, of Hastings.
Williams was arrested for possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp and lodged in Adams County Jail.
