United Way of the Kearney Area Executive Director Julie Van Hoek joined Liz on Talk of the Town this morning with special guest Tim Zach, who’ll be performing at Freedom Fest this year.
Last time Van Hoek joined on TOT, listeners had a chance to listen and learn about some of the amazing attractions and events that will be featured at Freedom Fest.
Some including, a zipline, a trackless train, carnival games, bingo, and more that’ll all lead up to the 10pm firework show.
Zach shared his excitement to be involved with United Way and play for the Kearney Area.
“It was good fit, made sense and I’ve heard of the United Way putting on this event over the last couple of years… Julie said ‘Hey its really great but we’re missing that music aspect of it.'” When she asked I thought it was gonna be one heck of an opportunity to get out there and have some fun and provide a little entertainment for the older folks, as well as the youngers.”
So those attending Freedom Fest Thursday, June 30th can expect to see Zach and more.
