A Man has been arrested following shooting investigation in Peru Nebraska.
Saturday June 18 the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting incident on the 1200 block of 6th street in Peru. After preliminary response, the Sheriff’s Office requested that the Nebraska State Patrol conduct an investigation into the incident.
An investigation revealed that 58-year-old Guadalupe Delacruz, entered the property of 25-year-old Mark Dupre, during a dispute and discharged his handgun and struck Dupre. Dupre was transported for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released from the hospital.
An arrest warrant was issued for Delacruz, who turned himself into Nemaha County authorities June 24. Delacruz was been lodged in Nemaha County Jail.
