A North Platte man is facing time on drug charges.
In federal court, 38-year-old Merrill Johnston was sentenced Tuesday for possession with intent to distribute 50 grams of more of methamphetamines to 168 months of imprisonment.
There is no parole in the federal system.
On September 2019, North Platte police responded to a domestic disturbance call at Johnston’s residence.
A search warrant was obtained and a search revealed 400 grams of methamphetamine in the home, a firearm, and $7,100 dollars.
