The driver of the car in a crash between her vehicle and a train walked away with only neck injuries yesterday morning.
Phelps County Sheriff’s Office says a woman was traveling north on R Road when she failed to stop at a train crossing at R Road and Highway 6.
The vehicle was hit by an Amtrak train. The vehicle rolled from the impact before coming to a stop on its roof.
The driver was transported to Phelps Memorial Health Center with neck injuries.
The driver was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident. No passengers on the Amtrak were injured.
