The Labor Day holiday weekend is quickly approaching and the Kearney Police Department is participating in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over impaired driving awareness campaign. The effort began August 19, 2022 and will run through until September 5, 2022.
However you celebrate, the Kearney Police Department says to make a plan for safe travels.
Plan for a sober ride home if drinking, don’t let someone behind the wheel if they’ve been drinking, and if you’re hosting ensure your guests have a safe ride home. If you see an impaired driver, call 911.
Kearney’s participation in the impaired driving enforcement is funded through a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation Office of Highway Safety.
