Hastings is getting closer to finding a new city administrator.
The city council, during their meeting Monday, narrowed down candidates by choosing four people and having three as alternates.
The names of those chosen will remain unavailable for now.
A recruiting company is currently scheduling interviews and checking with those selected to see if they still want the job.
In May, Dave Ptak resigned from the City Administrator position, which he held since 2019.
