The Buffalo County Courthouse announced corrected pink postcards will be sent out after an information error.
The courthouse released the following press release:
“To All Buffalo County Residents:
This week, you should receive a pink postcard labeled “Notice of Proposed Tax Increase” from Buffalo County. The valuation used to calculate the tax rate for the school districts was submitted to the postcard printing vendor in error. The valuation submitted to the postcard printing vendor for the school districts should have included the property valuation for the entire school district not just Buffalo County. Corrected postcards will be mailed out in the next few days.
