The Nebraska State Patrol is assisting in a shooting investigation that occurred in Oakland Tuesday.
On Tuesday at 9pm Oakland Police and Burt County deputies responded to a report about a shooting at an apartment on the 300 block of North Oakland Avenue.
Upon arrival, a male with gunshot wounds was located.
The male, identified as Ryan Schuman, 32, was transported to a hospital but died from injuries.
The Nebraska State Patrol has been requested to assist in the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
