On Friday, U.S. District Judge Robert F. Rossiter sentenced Blake Ruel, 35, of Lincoln, was sentenced to a total of 322 months’ imprisonment for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Ruel was arrested in May 2021 during a trafficking stop, after a K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
A vehicle search revealed more than 104 grams of methamphetamine, along with a handgun in the vehicle.
This case was investigated by the Lincoln Police Department and Omaha Police Department.
