Troopers had a busy Thanksgiving weekend removing 26 impaired from the roadway during their participation in the nationwide Click or Ticket Campaign.
Troopers joined law enforcement across Nebraska in the effort which ran from Wednesday to Sunday.
Additionally, troopers issued 447 speeding citations, 14 open alcohol container citations, 21 for driving under suspension, 22 for no proof of insurance, 8 minor in possession of alcohol citations, 7 no seat belt, and 9 improper child restraint. Troopers also assisted 168 motorists on the road.
The effort was made possible with a $25,000 grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.
