The Nebraska State Patrol began its 67th Basic Recruit Camp today.

Fifteen recruits began their first day of 22 weeks of training today at the NSP Training Camp located in Grand Island.

The following recruits come from several Nebraska communities and out-of-state:

  • Wyatt Anderson – Gothenburg
  • Kak Ayaj – Lincoln
  • Iris Bishop – Alliance
  • Victoria Brady – Gering
  • Margarita Clouse – Lexington
  • Noah Coleman – Creston, Iowa
  • Brett Evans – Omaha
  • Dylan Frerichs – Houston, Texas
  • Dylan Grassmyer – Stanton
  •   Gage Hyberger – Lincoln
  •   Ashley Jackson – Gering
  • Hunter Lassen – Saint Paul
  • Gabriella Ochoa – Grand Island
  • Seth Reighard – Lincoln
  • Jared Sutphin – North Platte

Recruits will undergo hands-on training, and an academic program for six months. Once recruits graduate in June, they will be paired with a veteran trooper for an additional 800 hours of on field training.
