The Behavioral Health and Education Center (BHECN) is holding another Adult Mental Health First Aid Training.
Training is open to those in or going into the mental health profession, community members, and anyone interested.
The session is free of cost and will be on February 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Ockinga Conference Room on The University of Nebraska at Kearney campus.
Those interested must pre-register with the QR code or email Dr. Krista Friston at fristsonkk@unk.edu.
The training will teach participants:
- How to identify and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders
- Learn the skills on how to provide help and support those struggling
- Earn a 3-year Certification of Completion to add to resume
The event is sponsored by Buffalo County Community Partners, BHCEN, UNK Psychology Club, Region 3, and Central Nebraska L.O.S.S.
