Authorities arrested a Hamilton County man for murdering his wife.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol and Hamilton County law enforcement, on Sunday at 12:45 p.m. Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call to a residence on the 500 block of Carnahan Street in Marquette.
A deceased women, identified as Angela Adams, 49 was located inside the home.
The Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol.
Investigators learned that Adams had been with her husband, Jeffrey Adams, 47, Saturday evening, but he was not at the home when authorities arrived to investigate the incident.
A short time later, Jeffrey Adams arrived at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office to turn himself in. He was arrested by Nebraska State Patrol investigators.
Investigators determined that Jeffery Adams had left the home after he struck Angela Adams multiple times from an argument.
He was lodged in Hamilton County Jail for second degree murder.
The investigation remains ongoing.
