The City of Kearney Public Works Department on behalf of the Union Pacific Railroad announce that track maintenance work will take place during the morning hours at the 5th Avenue Railroad Crossing on March 16, 2023 beginning at approximately 8:00 am.
Once these repairs are completed and the crossing reopened crews will move to the Central Avenue Railroad Crossing.
The Central Avenue crossing will be closed during these maintenance activities.
The crossing is expected to re-open by 5:00 pm the same day.
Citizens will need to use an alternate route during the closure.
