KEARNEY – The Tri-City Storm is set to host the Sioux City Musketeers tonight at the Viaero Center for a St. Patrick’s Celebration. The Storm has won eight consecutive games entering tonight’s matchup. Puck drop for tonight’s battle between the Storm and the Musketeers is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.
Ticket specials for tonight’s game will include a $5 Kids Friday presented by Big Apple Fun Center in Kearney. A limited supply of Guinness Cans will also be for sale in the Storm Shelter during tonight’s St. Patrick’s Celebration.
Tri-City (26-16-2-3) carries a nine-game point streak into tonight’s home game at the Viaero Center following back-to-back wins last weekend on the road against the Des Moines Buccaneers. The Storm trailed 3-0 near the halfway point of Friday’s game before roaring back with four unanswered goals. Tri-City won the matchup 5-4, and collected a 4-2 win at Buccaneer Arena on Saturday. The Storm has posted an 8-1-1-0 record over the past ten games. Tri-City is 11-4-1-2 in games played at the Viaero Center this season. Tri-City has posted a 4-1-0-0 record in head-to-head matchups against Sioux City this season. Scoring leaders for the Storm entering this weekend’s home series at the Viaero Center include Jake Richard (25), Graham Gamache (16), Trevor Connelly (15), Evan Werner (15), August Falloon (13), and Kieran Cebrian (12). Tri-City hosts Sioux City again tomorrow night for Kool-Aid Night. Puck drop is set for 7:05pm CT.
Sioux City (20-23-2-3) has won two of the last ten games entering this weekend’s series against Tri-City. The Musketeers dropped each home game last weekend to the Waterloo Black Hawks and Sioux Falls Stampede. Sioux City most recently lost a 4-2 decision on Sunday evening at the Tyson Events Center. The Musketeers’ lone victory against the Storm to this point in the 2022-2023 regular season came on October 21st by a final score of 5-2 in the opening matchup of the year. The Musketeers recently suffered a weekend sweep to the Storm on February 24th and 25th at the Viaero Center with back-to-back road losses. Scoring leaders for Sioux City entering this weekend’s road series against Tri-City include Ryan Conmy (29), Tyler Hotson (14), Grant Slukynsky (14), Ben Poitras (13), Dylan Godbout (12), and Kaden Shahan (12). The Musketeers currently trail the Storm by twelve points in the Western Conference standings.
