CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Former Grand Island Senior High star and Nebraska Gatorade Player of the Year Isaac Traudt has announced via Twitter that he is entering the transfer portal after a redshirt season at Virginia.
Traudt was the highest rated recruit in the Cavaliers’ Class of 2022, but opted to redshirt his freshman season according to Head Coach Tony Bennett.
In his post, Traudt stated that he will attempt to “pursue an opportunity closer to my loved ones.” Traudt had offers from in-state schools Creighton and Nebraska prior to his Virginia commitment.
Traudt will have four years of eligibility remaining.
