KEARNEY – The Kearney Girls Soccer team blasted Omaha Buena Vista at UNK’s Foster Field on Saturday afternoon, earning their fifth win on the season in a 10-0 victory. Click here to listen to the broadcast replay.
The Bearcats (5-1) took advantage of an early score by senior Karsyn Worley in the third minute, followed by a Maddy Province header sixteen minutes in.
A ten minute streak of scoring wrapped up the first half, as Ava Angel-Trejo (28′), Helen Ortega (30′), Claire Karjalainen (31′), Worley (33′), Reese Hoelcher (36′), and Delaney Junker (37′) added goals to bring the halftime lead to 8-0.
After a Violet Timmons goal out of halftime in 42′, the Bearcats scored the final goal of the contest and took the 10-0 victory.
Kearney returns to Kearney High School on Tuesday taking on Norfolk.
