A Wood River man was involved in a a fatal crash Friday.
On Friday Grand Island Police responded to an two-vehicle accident near Highway 30 and West Stolley Park Road at 9:14 p.m.
The crash was a severe collision between a between a White 2003 Dodge Ram pickup and a Silver 2016 Chevy Traverse.
The driver of the pickup, Gary Salpas, 44 of Wood River was transported to St. Francis Medical Center and later pronounced deceased.
The 49-year-old Grand Island driver of the Chevy and her 15-year-old daughter were transported to St. Francis Medical Center for serious injuries.
Grand Island Fire Department extracted the 15-year-old passenger from the vehicle.
The crash is currently under investigation.
