KEARNEY – The Kearney Girls Track and Field team earned a runner-up finish at the Kearney High invite on Thursday, totaling 151.5 points only trailing champion Lincoln Southwest.
The Boys ended in third with 102.5 points as Creighton Prep took the win totaling 142, as Lincoln Southwest was second at 129.5.
Standouts for the Bearcat girls included the 4×800 relay wining with a 10:13.06 time, Blaire May winning the 400m at 1:01.63, Kyah Hazard clearing 10-00.00 and winning the girls pole vault, and Kelsey Hatcher earning runner-up in the 100m hurdles at 15.38.
The Kearney boys had standouts including Jack Dahlgren winning the 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles with 14.48 and 40.45 times respectively, Sam Nachtigal claiming the pole vault victory clearing 13-00.00, and Taj Wilson earning the Triple Jump champion at 43-09.00.
