Nebraska State troopers arrested a Maryland man following a pursuit on I-80 in Dawson County.
On Monday near 7 a.m. an eastbound Chrysler Pacifica was seen speeding over 100 miles per hour on I-80 near Lexington.
A trooper attempted a traffic stop but the driver fled, initiating a pursuit.
The Chrysler entered the Lexington interchange, exited and began fleeing westbound, maintaining speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
Near the Gothenburg Interchange, a Dawson County Sheriff’s Deputy successfully deployed a spike strip bringing the vehicle to a stop.
Troopers located 85 pounds of marijuana, 4 pounds of marijuana products, and a small amount of psilocybin mushroom products in the van.
The driver, Antoine Geter, 30, of Baltimore, Maryland was arrested and lodged in Dawson County Jail.
Geter was arrested for willful reckless driving, flight to avoid arrest, possession of marijuana – more than one pound, possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and traffic violations.
