The chilly, windy spring day didn’t stop car fans from all over Nebraska and Kansas from arriving at the Highway Creepers Rock n Rods show Saturday. Hundreds of people from Kearney to as far as Omaha showed to the annual car show on Central Avenue last weekend. The Highway Creepers put on the event every year, featuring not just a car show, but a pinstriping panel jam, an auction, and live music at The Other Side.
One participant in the car show, who said it was his 6th year attending the show, said it was his first chance to get his classic out of winter storage and show things off. Many attendees marveled at the variety of what was on display, from fully restored classics, to chopped-up Frankenstein rat rods, to vehicles from the modern day.
