A recall petition against Dave Brandt failed to be submitted last Friday.
According to the Election Commissioner’s Office, the recall petition against David R. Brandt was due in the Election Commissioner’s Office by 5pm on Friday, May 12th, 2023.
The principal circulator did not return the petition by the above deadline, there for, there will not be a special recall election for Mr. Brandt.
The recall petition was originally filed against Mr. Brandt following a school board meeting on March 6 that involved discussion on a policy for transgender students.
Petitioners had 30 days to gather and submit 2,227 valid signatures for a recall election to take place after being verified by the Election Commissioners Office.
