UNK football players were confirmed to have been present during last week’s shootings in Kearney.
UNK officials confirmed that members of the team were present at shootings that took place early morning and night Sunday May 14, and early morning Wednesday May 17.
According to KSNB as of late Monday, there’s no record of UNK football players arrested or charged in connection to the shootings.
On Friday, May 19 two teens and an adult male were arrested in connection to last week’s shootings in Kearney.
According to the Kearney Police Department, officers arrested a 17-year-old Kearney male Friday on an arrest warrant for aiding and abetting a felony (discharging a firearm near a building), and a second 17-year-old Kearney male for 3rd degree assault. A 26-year-old Kearney man was arrested for third degree assault.
Kearney Police Department, and Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office have identified several suspects.
