WICHITA – A former Kearney Baseball star is now seeking a new home after entering his name in the transfer portal on Tuesday.

Former Kearney Baseball star and Kearney High School alum Seth Stroh has entered the transfer portal after his third year in the Wichita State baseball program.

Stroh was listed as one of the 21 players to enter the portal on Tuesday after the Shockers moved on from interim head coach Loren Hibbs, who was recently named the American Athletic Conference coach of the year.

Stroh started in 32 games last season, hitting .234 with 16 RBI and four home runs. In 100 career games, Stroh hit .240 with 47 RBI, 22 extra base hits, and 13 home runs.

Stroh will have two years of eligibility remaining despite being a junior in academic standing.

Stroh was a two year letter winner and start for Kearney High School, hitting .412 with 16 stolen bases and posting a 2.13 ERA on the mound his senior season. Stroh also competed in football, basketball, and track and field and was a two-time state medalist in the high jump. Stroh was a member of the 2017 American Legion State Championship team.
