HUSKER FOOTBALL BEGINS PRESEASON PRACTICES:
The Rhule era begins today as Nebraska Football officially starts their fall camp in Lincoln.
Players reported on Saturday to move-in to the dormitory halls as all players and coaches are living on campus for a two-week period prior to the start of classes. The team then celebrated Fan Day at the practice facility on Sunday afternoon.
Head Coach Matt Rhule will give his first press comments of the season around noon today at the conclusion of the first practice session.
Nebraska Football Practice Reports begin for all NRG Central Nebraska Stations (1340 KGFW, Y102 KRNY, HITS 106 KQKY, 107.7 The Island KSYZ, Rock 101.5 KROR) today and run throughout the entirety of the season.

ICYMI: NEBRASKA FOOTBALL TIGHT END COACH RESIGNS FRIDAY:
Heading into the final weekend before fall camp begins, Nebraska football made a change at one assistant position.
Bob Wager, brought in earlier this year by head coach Matt Rhule to coach the tight ends, resigned on Friday evening.
According to the Omaha World-Herald, police reports said Wager was pulled over about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday near Pinnacle Arena Drive and Q Street and was cited on suspicion of first-offense DUI with a blood alcohol content of .15 or higher, roughly twice the legal limit for driving. He also was cited for careless driving, possessing an open alcohol container in the vehicle and refusing a preliminary chemical test.
Immediately replacing Wager on the full-time staff is Josh Martin. Martin has seven years of coaching experience at the Football Bowl Subdivision level, coaching tight ends at SMU and Arizona State.
ICYMI: RODRIGUEZ ADDED TO ALL-BIG TEN TEAM:
Nebraska junior libero Lexi Rodriguez was a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team announced on Friday. Rodriguez was one of just three players who was unanimously selected by the league’s 14 head coaches.
Additionally, the Huskers were picked second in the preseason poll behind Wisconsin. Minnesota was third, followed by Penn State and Purdue
Rodriguez is a two-time AVCA All-American and All-Big Ten selection. The Sterling, Ill., native was a unanimous All-Big Ten pick last year after leading the Huskers to a nation-leading .128 opponent hitting percentage with 4.26 digs per set.
COLTS’ JONATHON TAYLOR CONTINUES CONTRACT DISPUTE; REFUTES BACK INJURY:
Star running back Jonathan Taylor’s situation with the Indianapolis Colts became a bit murky on Sunday.
After it was reported that the Colts were considering placing Taylor on the non-football injury list due to a back issue, the disgruntled speedster took to Twitter to denounce that notion.
Placement on the NFI list could result in a loss of salary for Taylor, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal. The Colts would not have to pay him while he’s on the NFI list, creating a scenario where the final year of his rookie contract gets pushed back to 2024 if he’s forced to sit out the 2023 season.
The uncertainty surrounding Taylor’s status comes after a report on Saturday that he requested to be traded from the Colts after meeting with team owner Jim Irsay.
