NEBRASKA – A rural 8-man athlete will take his talents to Lincoln, as Hi-Line athlete Ryker Evans announced his commitment to the Nebraska Football program on Monday night.
Evans made the announcement official on his personal social media page. The Hi-Line leader was a key contributor for the Bulls success this past season, being named a First-Team defense All-State selection.
The 5’11, 170 pound running back/linebacker for the Bulls racked up over 3,700 total offensive yards during his past two seasons for Hi-Line. According to his Maxpreps online stats, Evans contributed with 74 total offensive touchdowns since the 2022 season.
Defensively, Evans was a force getting to the football with 159 total tackles, including three tackles for loss, 8 interceptions, and two fumble recoveries.
Evans will be a preferred walk-on (PWO) for the Husker Football program in the 2024 Class. He was previously committed to Air Force prior to his announcement on Dec. 7 that he would re-open his recruitment.
