UNK Football Adds Defensive Backs Coach

KEARNEY – A new addition has been added to the UNK Football coaching staff.

Nate Willis will join the Loper Football staff as a graduate assistant and defensive backs coach. Willis will work with the Loper corner backs for the 2024 season.

Willis previously was the secondary coach at Heritage High School in Georgia for two seasons. Previously, Willis was a Kentucky Wildcat defensive back as a play, but also had coaching stops at Division III Wisconsin-Stevens Point, ASA College in Miami, and Missouri Valley College in the NAIA.

Willis has familiarity with the Loper program previously, having coached UNK cornerback Terrell Williams.

The Kentucky alum was a two-year starter for the Wildcats after beginning his career with Arizona Western.
