GRAND ISLAND — Multiple gun shots were reported in Grand Island during the early morning hours of Saturday, April 27.

Around 12:30 a.m., officers with the Grand Island Police Department responded to the area of 6th St. and Wheeler Ave. due to the report of gunshots.

A 34-year-old female reported that an unknown male drove past Abbot Park on N. Cleburn St. where she was walking and began to fire a gun.

She advised that a male walking behind her ran west through an alley after the gun fire took place. The vehicle then traveled west on W. 17th St. at a high rate of speed.
