GRAND ISLAND — The Grand Island Police Department is warning residents of a scam phone calls in which an individual is claiming to be an officer with information about a family member.
The GIPD has received phone calls from area residents to inform them about a new scam that has been noticed in the area.
An “Officer Allen” calls and claims to be with the Grand Island Police Department regarding an issue with a family member. GIPD says that this person does not represent their organization.
“Do not give any personal information or payment information to this caller,” the GIPD states.
