Pretrial hearing date changed for Grand Island man charged with sex trafficking

GRAND ISLAND — A pretrial hearing has been set in the case of a Grand Island man who has been charged with sex trafficking in Hall County District Court.

Logan Bundy, 22, has been charged with sex trafficking of minor, a Class 1B felony and possession of child pornography – age 19 and over, a Class 2A felony.

Bundy pleaded not guilty to the charges and his original pretrial hearing date had been set for May 29.

Following the hearing, Bundy’s counsel requested a continuance be granted and a new date was set for Wednesday, July 3 at 11 a.m.

Bundy filed bail, $22,500, on April 8. A stipulation of the bail is to have no contact with the alleged victim.

Bundy is also facing other charges of sex trafficking, enticement and possession of child pornography after the investigation in this case discovered additional conversations with underaged girls.

Per court documents, on Jan. 5, 2024, an officer with the Grand Island Police Department was assigned to an agency assist case regarding a 17-year-old female sending nude photos to Logan Bundy, a Grand Island resident.

The case officer with the Lower Salford Township Police Department of Pennsylvania, who had reviewed the 17-year-old’s cell phone and found she had sent the photos to Bundy.

The officer said Bundy had offered money for the nude photos and threatened to harm himself if the juvenile didn’t send him the photos.

The case officer stated the message thread indicated a video chat had occurred where the juvenile female performed sexual acts on herself while Bundy watched.

The officer also reported that Bundy threatened to sell the nude photos after she had refused to continue sending more photos.

On Jan. 31, the Grand Island officer contacted Bundy. During the interview, the officer said Bundy admitted to meeting the 17-year-old on a dating application.

The officer said that Bundy also admitted to despite knowing she was a minor, asking for nude photographs, he also had threatened to harm himself if the 17-year-old didn’t send more photos.

The Grand Island officer seized Bundy’s cell phone during the interview.

After a search warrant was obtained, the officer found the mentioned message thread between Bundy and the 17-year-old. He confirmed the photo still contained nude photos. He also found call logs of video chats between Bundy and the 17-year-old consistent with the mentioned chats.

Bundy is facing additional sex trafficking charges when nude photos of underaged girls were located on his phone during the execution of a search warrant in this case.

Bundy was then arrested and booked into the Hall County Department of Corrections.
