KEARNEY – Loper Volleyball will share a familiar face on the sidelines this upcoming season.

As first reported by KSNB Local 4, Jaden Ferguson is transitioning to the coaching role following her one-year playing career for UNK Volleyball. The Lincoln native and Lincoln Southeast alum transferred to the program after playing four years at Northwest Missouri State.

The former Bearcat and Loper was an All-MIAA caliber player during her playing tenure, earning All-American honors in 2022 and being selected as either a first or second team All-MIAA athlete in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

As a transfer her senior season, Ferguson led the Lopers back into contention for the NCAA Tournament where UNK once again continued their qualifying streak. The Lincoln native also celebrated her season opener in her home town, as the Lopers participated in the historic Nebraska Volleyball Day at Memorial Stadium.

Ferguson wrapped her Loper tenure with 328 kills in 116 sets played, adding 352 digs and 75 blocks.

Ferguson made the trip to Palmer on Wednesday to lead a UNK traveling volleyball camp, where she gave back to elementary and middle school girls in the area.
