ALLO announced its intention to build a 100% fiber-optic network in Grand Island in August 2021, began construction in November 2021, and is happy to announce the construction is complete. ALLO now provides local businesses, residents, and governmental entities with internet, TV, phone, and managed service solutions over an all-fiber network.

“This is very positive news for Grand Island residents and its business community. The city’s growing economy will benefit from more choices for high-quality, reliable broadband, video, and voice services. The Chamber appreciates ALLO’s significant investment in Grand Island,” said Jamie Karl, president of the Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce.

Grand Island joins over 40 communities across three states experiencing the ALLO Fiber difference. Grand Island’s 10 GIGenabled network is built to serve the community today and for decades. Community members can stop by the ALLO store at 209 N Locust Street to learn more about ALLO or sign up for internet, TV, or phone services. ALLO’s superior managed services and cybersecurity solutions can also benefit local businesses.

ALLO was named the 2023 Best Internet Service Provider in Grand Island. The company lives by its local core value by being involved in the community. In 2023, ALLO attended, hosted, and sponsored 31 events in Grand Island, with 17 events confirmed so far this year. ALLO also recently announced the Community Connect Program, which gives 15 local Grand Island nonprofits free 1 GIG internet for three years.

Regional General Manager Dave Miller further expressed his excitement about the end of construction, “We appreciate the patience of every Grand Island resident and business while we constructed our fiber infrastructure. The real fun begins as the community enjoys reliable, high-speed internet with exceptional local support and service.”

ALLO will study the feasibility of extending its fiber network to unserved areas as the community continues to develop.

Established development areas outside the city limits are also considered. Visit AlloFiber.com/GrandIsland for more information, to sign up for services, or to submit an unserved area for consideration.
