The closure of 31st St. and Central Ave is anticipated by July 22, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Utilities Department announces water main work will take place in 31st Street and Central Avenue, starting Monday, July 8.
East bound traffic on 31st Street will be merged into the middle turn lane, and the intersection of 31st and Central will be closed to through traffic during construction. The closure of 31st Street and Central Avenue is anticipated to be reopened completely by 4 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024, weather and construction permitting.
Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and to watch for construction workers and equipment. If an alternate route is possible, we recommend that motorists use the alternate route.
