GRAND ISLAND — NDOT Highway Safety Office has awarded the Hall County Sheriff’s Office with funding to carry out a Selective Overtime Enforcement for the Speeding Prevention campaign from July 12 – July 31 2024.
This enforcement will help to reduce fatal and serious speeding related injury crashes in Nebraska. NDOT Highway Safety will pay deputies overtime wages up to $11,530.61.
7 Deputies worked 190 hours of selective enforcement and cited 83 drivers for speeding while issuing 187 warnings for speeding. 375 contacts were made overall during this time.
