GRAND ISLAND — After providing a false name to police officers, a man was arrested on two Dawson County warrants during the early afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 24.

According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers were dispatched to an apartment on N. Wheeler Ave. after a neighbor reported they could hear a verbal altercation coming from a nearby apartment.

Officers contacted a woman resident after hearing her cry through the closed door.

A male was eventually contacted, who would provide a false name that would return to a known family member, according to the officers.

The male would be identified as Brian Samayao-Blanco, who had two active Dawson County warrants for his arrest.

Samayao-Blanco would be arrested for the Dawson County warrants and criminal impersonation.
