KEARNEY — The public is invited help dig up bulbs from the Gardens at Yanney Park. Volunteers can take home up to half of the bulbs that are dug from the Gardens.
The dig will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Volunteers work in groups digging cannas,
removing annual flowers, cutting the stalks off the rhizomes, and placing the cannas in pots for storage. Staff will train you how to dig up and overwinter the cannas and other bulbs.

Event check-in is north of the butterfly sculpture in The Gardens. Please dress in appropriate work clothes; consider outside temperature when getting dressed. Hand tools will be provided for you. Please bring work gloves, a full sized shovel and a container to put your cannas in.
